Club Championship

Another successful year for Magherafelt and District Motor Club has came to an end with James Cassidy and Damien Duffin winning the J Caulfield and Co Insurance and Mortgage Brokers Club Championship. As normal the awards will be presented at our Annual Dinner Dance and Prize Giving which will be held in the Greenvale Hotel Cookstown on Friday 19 January 2001. Tickets are available from any committee member or by contacting Lee Averall on 028 796 44190 or Alan Bolton on 028 796 43961 priced £15 each. If you are planning to attend please ensure you make early contact in order to avoid disappointment as we are limited to numbers as this is such a popular night in the Club’s year. Final numbers for the Dinner Dance are required for Monday 8th of January. Robin Philips and Michael Gibson has accepted the Clubs invitation to be the special guests on the night.

At present the Championship Rules are undergoing an overhaul in order to accommodate the changing face of motorsport which will become evident in 2001. In order to guarantee an entry in any Club event in 2001 it is compulsory that you attend the AGM of the Club on 25 January 2001 in Mary’s Bar Magherafelt. This is only one of a number of changes that will be implemented in 2001 in order to ensure that Motorsport continues in your locality. The days of competitors just competing has come to an end.  It’s time to put something back into the sport we all love or else it will not continue. These changes are not only been implemented by this Club but also a number of Clubs throughout Northern Ireland.
